Official Byte was started in 2022 by engineers who'd run platforms in fintech and healthcare and wanted to build software the way it should be built — quietly, durably, and accountable to outcomes.

We met running platforms together. We'd seen the same pattern across five companies: software engagements that started full of optimism and ended in throw-it-over-the-wall hand-offs. Documents that no one read. Code that no one trusted.
We started Official Byte to build software the way we wanted it built for us. Engineers as the first hire. Designers as engineering partners, not service providers. Tests, observability, and review from day one — not "in phase two."
Three years in, we've shipped more than 120 projects across 60 industries, with teams in London, New York, and Singapore. We're still small enough to stay opinionated.
